TAKE THE CITY WALK!
Vivi jio-ed me to the above event
with ah du too
got up at 530am!
(ah, it's the weekend & i had to wake up even EARLIER! zZz)
about 20,000 people gathered at padang for this (FWAH.)
it's also part of the national day celebrations
that's why at 9.08am (representin' 9 aug), no matter where we were
we had to shout,"CELEBRATE SINGAPORE!"
haha
 so many people!

it was only a 4.5km walk
& i kept seein' my office most of the time, hoho
the weather was really good! =)

Vivi & i went to take a look at the newly-renovated soup spoon @ raffles city
my sister was there!
had lunch at 鼎太丰(ding tai feng)
still prefer crystal jade!

was the HOST for the dinner shift
argh, i hated it!

had a scary encounter in the paragon toilet
together with QH, Kai Feng, Huiling!
we met this really WEIRD lady in the toilet
she turned the last cubicle upside down -
empty bottles of drinks overturned into the bin
with the lid of the bin on the floor
the cubicle was in a mess!
she didn't close the door when she was inside
& QH got a shock when she realised there was actually someone in the last cubicle
i didn't believe QH that there was someone
but when i was nearin' it, she came out
really gave me a shock
Kai Feng then came out & i immediately went into her cubicle
the weird lady then kept slammin' the tap
*BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM*
ahHhHh, freaky!

so Rebecca & i got up at 530am (woah)
& walked down to the beach, wantin' to catch the sunrise
but we weren't in luck
cos it was juz too cloudy - couldn't see the sun!
anyway, it was still enjoyable - the fresh mornin' air, the peace.
all of us then went cyclin'!

it was really, really shiok!
to sweat it out, to bask in the sun!
i miss the old active me
been cooped up in the office for too long a time
Felicia & Adeline then went home
while the 3 of us stayed on
had our lunch
then slept like logs the entire afternoon

DP DEPARTMENT CHALET + BBQ!
DAY 1
went for a jog
before meetin' the girls - Rebecca, Anvia, Adeline!
the funny thing was - ALL except Anvia, forgot to bring our toothbrushes!
muahaha.
& coincidentally, NTUC sold a pack of 3 toothbrushes (buy 2 get 1 free!)!
haha
we checked in to costa sands @ pasir ris at around 4pm
started the fire soon after
more & more people came! hoho
it was quite a good turnout
& the bbq was fun!
half the time i was de-shellin' prawns for everyone - love doin' it!
most of our guests (haha) left at 10pm
leavin' Felicia, Jevanny, Anvia, Adeline, Rebecca & me
we took a walk down the beach, singin' & chattin',
lookin' for every star in the night sky,
laughin' at every lame joke
ah, the feelin' was so GOOD!
wishin' time would stop at THAT moment
sweet.
returned to the chalet
took a shower
had a short chit-chat
before everyone went to bed
Rebecca & i shared the mattress on the floor
but we only slept for an hour
before gettin' up again

& a few minutes later, had a call from Yongmin
who almost got knocked down by a lorry!!!
the lorry DID knock into him
but the impact wasn't very strong
he only fell to the ground & had no major injuries

he said he was waitin' at the traffic junction to cross
the lorry went up the kerb!

today was not any better

we thought she was depositin' cash
but we found out she was UPDATIN' HER PASSBOOK

KTV AGAIN!
a meet-up with my colleagues - Rebecca, Anvia, Pui San!
(yeah yeah, it's always us)
we had our first ktv session together, hoho
k-lunch @ jurong entertainment centre
i've been to so many kbox branches, but never to this one
seldom hang around at that area
but i guess my colleagues are all sick of town
so we decided to choose a neighbourhood branch which was near all of us!
been drivin' yesterday (from home to the commencement ceremony & back)
& today too (from home to jurong entertainment centre)
since my parents were headin' to that area too
i really muz say, my drivin' really SUCKS la
argh. should have told dad to get an auto-car, it would save me the gear + clutch problems

had a late lunch at bagus (some foodcourt-like eatin' place)
shopped for a while
before leavin' for work

COMMENCEMENT!
it's my GRADUATION! =)
i've been anticipatin' this day for a long time!
YIPPEE!
life in NUS was good
wasn't as stressful as junior college
didn't dread school as much too
had a lot of fun workin' part-time after school hours
& hangin'-out with buddies
especially Yongmin
my final semester was very much spiced up by him!
we could sleep in the students' lounge till we almost missed a lecture
or skip lectures juz to catch a nap in the tv room
(why were we so sleepy back then?)
best partnership in pair-work projects
& we were so boliao till we had our fortunes read at a school fair, haha
life was good
i'll miss the environment, the lecturers, the notes (??!!), the exams (PUI.),..
but of cos, i miss these even more..
my stats buddies! cheap new zealand natural! vanilla latte! munchie monkey cafe (though it gave me terrible headaches)!
the ceremony commenced at 3pm
there were so many graduates!

& we still went to chomp chomp for supper
it's my first time there!

they sell really large glasses of sugarcane drinks!
(remembered Yongmin tellin' me before)

almost forgot to mention -
my dad bought me a second-hand nokia 7610 (very good condition)!
exactly the same model, same colour
it was as if my previous phone revived

FRIDAY NIGHT OUT!

today is a GOOD day!
went marina bbq seafood for lunch with a bunch of colleagues
decided to eat-out
(we usually ta-bao back to the office)
stingray!
went out for dinner
with Rebecca, Anvia, Pui San!
hoho, seems like every friday night is our nights' out
we had a really sinful dinner at makansutra @ esplanade -
char kway teow, hokkien mee, carrot cake, stingray, bbq chicken wings!!!
woah..
& we felt we could still have more
hahah
went 新旺 hongkong cafe @ marina square
for desserts + snacks!
the mango snow ice was soOoOoOoo NICE!
we really had a good time laughin' over i-forgot-what
all i remembered was all of us had stomach cramps

GRADUATION DRESS, FINALLY!

had 2 meetings today
the first was in the mornin'
regardin' a project

next was after lunch,

i kept dozin' off!

we went marina square
cos i had to get my graduation dress from Seok Chuan!
really have to thank her so much, so much
for makin' the effort to go down to NUS
to help me collect this dress!
i really, really didn't have the time to go down
& it wasn't easy for her to do it, without an authorization letter from me!
luckily she charmed the man over there
so he allowed her to get it eventually
wahaha
da jie, thank you so much!
coincidentally, it's her graduation ceremony today!
hoho, congrats on your graduation! =)
had dinner with Fabian at carl's junior
what big burgers!
did some CPF investment with him
since what he said really made a lot of sense

WHAT A WEEKEND.
was actually supposed to work till 6pm only at spageddies
but there was really a shortage of staff at night
so i decided to work all the way till closin' (10pm)
had to cancel the meetin' with the munchie monkeys for dinner
=(
SORRY!!!
the lunch shift was so slack
very relaxin'
but the dinner shift was horrible
sales was $8k!!!
my goodness

baobei Vivi came to dine with ah du!

but it was so busy la
didn't really have the time to entertain them, haha

i've been promoted!

my name in the staff roster isn't in the cashier group anymore
it's now under TRAINER!
not a good news in fact
cos trainer = runner
& i HATE bein' the runner

cashier is still my favourite station, heex
but i'm still happy
cos of the recognition i guess
=)
i've dedicated my ENTIRE weekend
from mornin' to night
to spageddies totally this week

really wonderin',

cos it will NEVER close down, that's for sure

SOTONG ME.
i'm damn sotong can?
i KNOW very well, yesterday was 30 june
& i also read the paper, that says, the collection period for the graduation dress would end on 30 june
BUT, i still woke up early in the mornin'
thinkin' TODAY (1 july!) was the last day of collection
*BISH*
until i reached, & saw them packin'
then a lady told me yesterday was the last day!
*piangx*
apparently i wasn't usin' my brain these days

a day at spageddies
freakin' busy la
both lunch + dinner shifts were killer
was the cashier the entire day
cashier was slammed rather badly durin' dinner!
my bills juz kept comin' in non-stop
& i had to issue vouchers, which was so troublesome & takin' up a lot of my time
half the time i was trapped inside the cashier
never-endin' bills to settle
whew
had a really bad headache towards the end of the day
ahhh..
was my first time workin' with Janet!
she's my colleague from munchie monkey
& she's the only one who came over to spageddies to work this holiday
the strange thing is - i've never worked with her at munchie monkey before at all!
& our first time workin' together was actually at spageddies instead, haha
