spent my day at green brew again

1) i was, erm, jay-walkin' obviously, tryin' to get across by movin' from lane to lane, then a car came so fast towards me, i couldn't step back, cos i was already in the middle of the road, i couldn't run forward too, cos another car was speedin' down, well anyway, eventually i juz dashed across, & reached the opposite side ALIVE. WHEW!
2) at this traffic junction, a bus stopped in the middle of the pedestrians' crossin' cos of a traffic jam (it should have stopped behind the crossin'!), so when the green man came on, i crossed in front of the bus (i should have crossed behind it i guess) & suddenly it moved! i was so damn near to it, but again, i reached the opposite side ALIVE. WHEW!

my legs were wobbly

Yesterday, I shared the first five of ten features found in a healthy dating relationship according to psychologist Dr. Neil Clark Warren. These are the characteristics that predict a successful marriage and portend well for the future. Today I'll finish up the list.
The first five were: You're each other's best friend. Communication is easy, natural and free. You have numerous values and ideals in common. You both think of marriage as a lifetime commitment. And you're able to resolve conflicts and differences.
6) Proceeding with the sixth characteristic now: You love to laugh together. You're entertained by each other and share a sense of humor about the things in life.
7) You feel thoroughly known by your partner, and deeply cared for. You're able to be yourself and still know that you are loved, faults and all.
8) Your family and friends seem to be genuinely supportive of the two of you as a couple. You have confirmation of those who know you best and whom you trust the most.
9) You feel romantic about each other much of the time, but you feel comfortable and content with each other almost all the time. And
10) You have a relationship that feels sane and safe and stable. You sense that there's a solid fit between both of you at many levels.

(my old one sucks!)
oh yeah, i finally got into the lot with no problems!!!
once i pass my final theory test (tomorrow evenin')

i really had a MAJOR problem with VERTICAL PARKIN'
juz couldn't get my car to go into the lot properly

happy birthday Vivi!!!

completed all 11 booklets!

but kept fallin' asleep while doin'

have been goin' to bbdc almost everyday early in the mornin'
& i still sleep at around 2am or 3am every night

anyway had a 2hr break from 3pm-5pm
juz rested in the restaurant
was asked to go down to the ollie's to help auntie Elaine
i thought i no longer have to care about the cake counter anymore
since it has been moved to the ollie's
nahx still ended up packin' so many cakes at 630pm
also closed the cashier there
went lot 1 to have dinner
before goin' for my first automatic car lesson!
was under my daddy!
(he's an autocar instructor)

he made special arrangements i guess
my left leg could take a break!
haha no clutch pedal
usin' the brake pedal for low speed control
tried all the circuit courses
mounted kerb + struck kerb too

but i guess it was cos i was sittin' furthur than i usually did
went out to try a test route
around teck whye area
autocar is really much easier to drive
& much smoother
no jerks, rollin' backwards, vibrations, dyin' engine, etc.
dad drove me home after the lesson!

first, i woke up late
& was a few mins late for my 21st drivin' lesson
wanted to get a cab down to bbdc
cos i saw bus188 leavin' before i could reach the bus-stop
hell, no chance was i goin' to catch the NEXT bus
BUT as usual, no available cabs in sight

caught the next bus188 ANYWAY

then, there was a damn heavy downpour
-drenched-
got into Mr.Lu's car
& he drove me out on the roads
then we exchanged seats at bt batok area
oh man, drivin' in the rain, HEAVY rain
could hardly see my mirrors (spotted with raindrops)
the front was damn unclear too of cos
i did one test route at teck whye area
some qualified drivers really deserve some slappin'

i was tryin' to get into the rightmost lane so that i could turn right later
then cos of the chevron markings, i could move into that lane only when i'd passed those markings
BUT one qualified driver juz overtook me BY CROSSIN' THE CHEVRON MARKINGS
the car behind him followed suite too
in the end? i didn't get a chance to get into that rightmost lane

but luckily my centre lane could make a right-turn too
went back to the drivin' centre for circuit courses
after runnin' once thru' all the 6 circuit courses
(everythin' was rather ok in the circuit)
i went out for another test route again
this time at bt batok area
it was ok except there were so many slopes
& i didn't use my handbrake
so i rolled back, engine stalled
damn
anyway went back to bbdc for a 2nd run-thru' of my circuit courses
had problems with parallel parkin' AGAIN

had 2 drivin' practicals today
(19th & 20th practicals)
both were under Mr.Lu
wah hadn't had lessons under him for a very long time
he kept revisin' the 6 circuit courses with me::
- crank course
- s-course
- directional change
- parallel parkin'
- circuit slope
- vertical parkin'
did them fairly ok
EXCEPT i looked at the wrong pole durin' my vertical parkin'
so i crashed a pole down again

emergency brake + 3-point turn
emergency brake was rather "fun"
he would tap without warnin'
(but i knew i was on this lesson, so more or less i'd expected it to come)
then i had to jam brake, HARD
the harder the better
he kept complainin' why our bags still didn't drop off from the seats behind

it wouldn't be tested though
juz like doin' a U-turn
juz that the road isn't wide enough for you to fully turn at one go

all require me to remember several steps, like turn full lock to the left when the front outer pole disappears from the back windscreen, then turn 2 rounds to the right when i see the inner back pole appearin', etc etc.

17th drivin' practical!
was ALMOST late
cos i woke up late

anyway today's lesson was on parallel parkin'!
omg
so many things to take note of
& i kept knockin' down those guidin' poles
oops
took a train to bishan
then took bus55 to meet Vivi
it's yet another thursday!

we walked from marine parade to east coast park
went there to CYCLE!
i CAN cycle
only that it's damn unstable

cycled for 2hrs
(rent 1hr, get 2nd hr free! which means only $2.50/hr, wow)
the weather initially seemed bad
but the sky cleared eventually

went for my drivin' simulator trainin'!
was so short
cos i had to share with 2 other people
only had one try at it
it's an automatic "car"
i got to drive on the streets of australia
that's what the instructor told me
haha
the vehicles there do not really follow the traffic rules
i had to avoid cars comin' out from nowhere
& children runnin' all over
whew
but it was quite fun
haha
not as shiok as daytona obviously

also had my 16th drivin' practical!
Mr.Low again!
i think more than half of my lessons were under him
that's good

"when will i get the chance to go on the roads again?"
(i was supposed to be drivin' in the circuit only at stage 3)

if not there'll be a time gap when i've completed my practical course but not my theory yet

we seemed to be always bookin' the same slots
but he's trainin' for class 2B licence

was out since 7am+
whew
another long day
first was my 13th drivin' lesson!
Mr.Low!
today's lesson was supposed to be on overtakin'
but cos the traffic was rather heavy
& there weren't many slow movin' vehicles
i didn't really have the chance to do so
so practised doin' U-turns instead & also the usual stuff
only towards the end of the lesson
when there was a small lorry in front of me
so i was given the chance to overtake!
heh
my engine didn't die at all today!
wahaha
but i accidentally stopped inside a yellow box
BAhahah
went down to munchie monkey to learn the kitchen stuff
learnt how to prepare spaghetti + fettucine from their uncooked form
whew
it's really not easy rememberin' everythin'
had some hours to spare before reportin' to green brew
so decided to catch a movie alone!

didn't book any drivin' lessons today
decided i should take a day off
haha
went out with Vivi!
met at suntec to take a look at the world book fair
but there was nothin' interestin'
then walked around suntec, citylink + raffles city
even dropped by my sis' workplace - soupspoon to have a sandwich
we then walked down to ps
but cos the day was so hot
& we'd walked for hours
we gave up halfway & took a bus down instead
muahaha
