i LOVE this week!
2 public holidays
& my wednesday is my FREE day, woohoo!

friday has only a 1.5hr lecture
so it's juz like a holiday too?
so technically, only TODAY is a schoolday!
but today is kidda stressful
cos i'll be doin'..

hoho got 75.5 marks for my resume + job application letter (5.5 marks increase!)

but made a really GROSS error in the report

when it's supposed to be NANYANG

i can say this is one of my favourite modules in NUS so far
the classes are interestin'
& the stuff that we are taught are really relevant & useful in future
(at least i can see myself usin' the skills taught, unlike other modules)
i've never fallen asleep in this class too
cos it's quite interactive (a lot of discussions)
so if i know i'll be late for this class (8am lei, hello!)
i don't mind gettin' a cab down

confirmed my schedule with the cognitive neuroscience lab
for a replication of the sleep study that i've done in april
that was the LONGEST sleep deprivation ever - 36hrs!!

so i started pumpin' a jug of beer
but wasn't sure who was the one who shouted
so i asked Mr.Lee (the ONE JUG uncle) who ordered
with, i think, a really blur look on my face
he then started laughin' like crazy
sayin' that someone was juz foolin' around
& didn't expect me to take it seriously
AND
everyone, i repeat, EVERYONE
started laughin' at me for a full 5 mins
even the announcer was laughin' till she couldn't go on with the game

sleep deprivation day continued..
the toughest period was 1am to 2am, strangely
(usually i would be awake at this time at home)
maybe it's cos of the RAIN!
how nice to sleep! sighx
3am:: 3rd MRI scan
had all the electrodes removed from my scalp, phew
but eeks, some gel was stuck all over my head still
had the 3rd MRI scan
although i'd expected it'd be rather difficult to stay awake inside it
i did pretty well =)
in fact, i felt so refreshed after it, hoho
430am:: the EEG electrodes were bein' planted on my head again
but they took 1hr to do so!
i kept dozin' off while stonin' on the chair lo, oops
haha
my two investigators couldn't take it anymore
i gotta wake them up to get me to do the tasks

woohoo, it's so much more comfortable inside this scanner
than the one at the cognitive neuroscience lab!
cos this has no bitebar!
did the tasks inside the scanner & stoned most of the time
but cos it's a hospital's magnetic resonance imagin' room
i saw a patient who had injured his head bein' wheeled in too
ermx
 the magnetic resonance imagin' room @ NUH
11am:: they wanted to put electrodes on my head
for the EEG (electroencephalogram - FWAH!)
but they took quite long to mark out (they used some red stuff to mark) the points to be pasted with the electrodes
& anyway the electrodes were left at another place
someone had to go & get them
so i had lunch first!
they bought chap chye peng for me, YUMX!
all my favourites - EGGS, toufu, caixin! =P
was watchin' tv almost all the time
when i was not in the scanner

2pm:: 2nd MRI scan
very comfortable again, heex
after this scan, electrodes were planted all over the scalp of my head
wires were all over me, haha
& i had to carry a circuit board wherever i go
ahh! look at my hair!
colourful wires drapin' all over my shoulder
 the circuit board that i had to carry around - 23 electrodes in all!
4pm:: from this hour onwards
i had to do the tasks every hour usin' a laptop
& had to do them with my eyes closed
they wanted to get EEG readings
not bad la, the tasks were easier compared to my previous experiences
watched a little of sweet lemon romance
the drama starrin' li wei, hou xiang ting, zhang tian lin
zhang tian lin is so shuai!!!

hoho, they even bought milo for me before dinner

she told us the highest score for the project (for all her 3 classes) is 73.5!

8am:: professional communication lesson
had to stage a meetin' today
discussed the 50th anniversary celebration of a company
(which was totally none of our business)
so we ("committee members") had to stage it, haha
Yongmin was the chairman
& our "committee" comprised of Jessica, Reithna, Geok Ling, Xue Ling, Chuay Sia, Man Ting & myself
our entire meetin' was recorded in a cassette tape!
so that the tutor could match our discussion durin' the meetin'
with the minutes that we had to write
tedious!!
was supposed to go for introduction to survival analysis lecture
but only handed up the assignment which was due today
then skipped it

argh
was so damn suay
waited damn long for bus188
then reached the engineerin' faculty at 12pm to take internal bus C
i had a test at 1215pm at science faculty!
thought i would be in time since it wasn't too far
the bus took ages
& the worst thing was
a car in front of my bus could not pass through the barricade
(either it's the cashcard problem or the barricade problem)
so it blocked the path of my bus
we stopped at that spot for more than 10mins!!
x_X!!
even had to alight & rushed to the next nearest bus-stop
to get another bus

obviously i was LATE for the statistical techniques for quality & productivity test
but juz a few minutes thankfully
